A much anticipated collaboration with The 78 Project during Miami’s 2013 Art Basel. The 78 Project was invited by IFP to cut a record as part of One Million Square Feet of Culture. The performance is by the incredibly talented (and young) folk of Jubal’s Kin. So much gratitude to Alexandre and Lavinia; both limitless sources of inspiration for 2014 — as well as IFP. I jumped on as second camera for this documentary performance.
“With just one microphone, one authentic 1930′s Presto direct-to-acetate disk recorder, and one blank lacquer disc, musicians are given one take to cut a record anywhere they choose. What we have found is that the film, music and feelings that result defy space and time, living music inspired by ghosts.”
